Bayard Men’s Golf Association Meeting Minutes
April 11, 2024
Meeting was called to order at 7:07 P.M. by president John Araujo
First order of business was nomination and election of officers.
John Araujo nominated and seconded to continue as president. Unanimous vote In favor.
Kevin Wolverton nominated and seconded to continue as treasurer. Unanimous vote in favor.
Rollie Bauer nominated and seconded to continue as vice president. Unanimous vote in favor.
Marc Clemons nominated and seconded for secretary. Unanimous vote in favor.
Old business.

New business.
Brian Sauer said that golf course got stuck with $24 per player GHIN fees.
Motion and second that members that didn’t have GHIN established at another course, pay $24 to Brian as reimbursement for the GHIN dues for 2023. Unanimous vote in favor.
Discussion on voting in new scoring system using the GHIN handicap and a best ball format to speed up play versus the league handicap and a five point system used prior to 2023.
Motion and a second to vote new system versus old system. 14 for new system, 11 for old system.
Clarification on who would be doing the handicapping, scheduling and reporting was made that the new version would not be available on the league website. With that misunderstanding a new motion was introduced by Kyle Kildow.
Motion for a revote made by Kyle Kildow seconded by Colter Reffalt. Results were 7 for new system and 18 for old system. Old system will be reintroduced.
Marc Clemons stepped down for secretary position. Secretary position opened to nominations
Chance White nominated and seconded to become league secretary. Unanimous vote in favor.
Discussion on removing the limiting of bar cart only on tee boxes.
Motion was made remove past rule to that effect made by Colter Reffalt seconded by Mitch Carpenter. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
Discussion on opening start time for league on Thursday.
Motion to make start time all day made by Sam Serda seconded by Mitch Carpenter. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
Discussion was held on how late a makeup match can be played.
Motion to make Monday the cutoff day for reporting purposes made by Rollie Bauer seconded by Jim Lind. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
Discussion was held changing the tournament match days to Monday and Thursday so as to not interfere with women’s league.
Motion to change day from Tuesday to Monday made by Rollie Bauer seconded by Jim Lind. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
Ron Hoffman made a motion to clarify that a tournament match must be played before the next scheduled set of matches seconded by Sam Serda. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
Motion to use only listed league subs for tournament play made by Mitch Carpenter seconded by Ron Hoffman. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
Discussion on league dues.
Motion to retain dues of $85 + $5 for members and $40 + $5 made by Jeff Kildow seconded by Ron Hoffman. $5 is for mid-season steak feed. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
Motion to have all members fees due on the first night of league made by Kevin Wolverton seconded by Ron Hoffman. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
Motion to have a scramble match every fourth match made by Mitch Carpenter seconded by Rayn Lohr. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
Motion to donate $2000 from men’s league to Chimney Rock Golf Course made by Jeff Kildow seconded by Ron Hoffman. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
